About Atlas

Atlas is an award-winning subscription growth consultancy working with B2B and consumer media and publishing brands and membership businesses. Founded in 2022, we are a small team of eight expert practitioners: people who have done this work themselves, and have grown, acquired and sold recurring revenues brands. We take clear positions on growing the value of recurring revenues businesses, and we care about getting it right.

Our clients trust us to help them make better decisions about recurring revenue growth, and our case studies are testament to the business impact we have achieved. If you want to work at the sharp end of subscription strategy, where you can contribute to both client marketing and business development, and you have the recurring revenues marketing experience we're looking for, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

This role has three parts: contributing to strategies for sustainable recurring revenues growth, supporting the activation of those recommendations alongside client partners, and helping evolve the Atlas offering and service delivery.

Working alongside Atlas's senior team, you'll take agreed growth plans and roadmaps and make them happen: running acquisition, engagement and retention marketing activity, improving customer journeys, setting up tests, and using the results to help clients optimise their recurring revenues.

This isn't an account-management role. You'll work directly inside client teams and own real marketing delivery across different subscription and membership businesses, supported by Atlas's Director of Growth and Marketing and Growth Partner. One week you might be planning a campaign, improving an onboarding journey, analysing customer research or briefing creative.

Client delivery is only part of the role. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to the strategic work behind Atlas projects, from research and analysis through to workshops and forming recommendations. And you'll help grow Atlas: contributing to our own marketing plans, developing new IP, products and services, and improving how we work internally.

What you'll do

– Turn agreed client strategies into executed work: plan, brief and run subscription acquisition, engagement and retention activity.

– Own day-to-day delivery across client workstreams, keeping actions moving and recommendations progressing to delivery

– Identify opportunities to improve clients' marketing performance and customer journeys, and help turn them into practical tests.

– Build and optimise acquisition, onboarding, nurture and retention communications.

– Help develop and run offers and other marketing tests, with clear measures of success and expected commercial outcomes.

– Analyse customer research, subscription performance and digital behaviour, and turn it into clear recommendations.

– Brief data and analytics teams on the questions we need answered, and brief external creative teams effectively.

– Turn performance data into clear reporting that shows clients what's happening and what to do next.

– Support Atlas's strategic project work with the analytical groundwork it needs: working with data, building clear charts and reporting, and carrying out audience, competitor and market research.

– Work as an extension of client teams, on-site and remotely, building strong relationships and keeping delivery moving week to week.

– Make ongoing recommendations to Atlas services and internal processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

– Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and best practice, create compelling case studies, and capture client feedback.

What success looks like

Within your first six months, we'd expect you to be:

– Managing day-to-day delivery of project recommendations across one or more clients, with support from the Director of Growth and Marketing and the wider team.

– Getting marketing activity and customer-journey improvements live, quickly and consistently.

– Comfortable using customer and performance data to recommend what should happen next.

– Trusted and respected by clients, so you can attend meetings and work across both Atlas and client offices independently.

– Contributing confidently to strategic discussions and recommendations, based on what you're seeing through delivery.

– Making recommendations that make our work more efficient and effective.

What we're looking for

We're looking for a strong all-round marketer with experience of recurring revenues businesses, rather than a specialist in every area we work in. We won't expect you to know everything on day one, but you'll need strong fundamentals, great communication skills, the ability to work autonomously, and the knack of learning quickly and applying it to client work.

– You've personally owned marketing activity for a recurring revenues business, from planning through to launch and measurement.

– You understand marketing channels, how they can be used and how they're measured.

– You can communicate confidently at all levels and integrate within client teams to deliver project recommendations.

– You're used to using data to back up your recommendations, whether customer research or marketing performance.

– You're comfortable taking responsibility for marketing execution and running with it.

– You can give a designer or copywriter a useful creative brief, and work confidently with data or analytics teams when you need evidence to make a decision.

– You're organised and self-directing, able to manage several client threads without losing momentum or detail.

– You seek to optimise ways of working. You notice when something could be made simpler or more repeatable, and you're willing to try new tools and approaches to get there. You'll likely have used AI tools to improve internal processes and efficiency.

– You're interested in both the practical delivery of marketing and the strategic thinking behind it.

Nice to have

Useful, but not essential:

– Experience across lifecycle, digital or customer marketing.

– Experience working across multiple brands, clients or stakeholder groups.

– Experience helping improve internal marketing processes, tools or ways of working.

– Experience producing clear client-facing reports and presentations.
